Vanalden Cave

Category: Hike/ Cave
Difficulty Level: Moderate

The Vanalden Cave is small cave, which is part of a greater Vanalden Trail. The hike to the cave is relatively short (taking around 15 minutes)..however
Caution! There's are patches of Poison Ivy along the trail. I got caught on some of the branches and got a rash for several days.

As far as the cave, the actual cave was a bit of a letdown. The cave is often occupied by people drinking and getting high, The cave (which isn't too big around 25 feet by 25 feet) is covered in graffiti, and there's broken glass on the floor. There are some interesting drawings and patterns. The Cave of the Mundits is much more worth it to visit.

Stoney Point Park

Category: Hike/Park
Difficulty Level: Moderate

Stoney Point Park is a fun little park with a small hiking trail. There is a trail that loops around the "Stoney Point", although most of the fun is in climbing the rock formation. While there are actual climbing routes, you can boulder your way up to the top. The rocks are not super pristine and there's graffiti and broken glass, but if you are looking for a short fun activity this is the one for you.

On Topanga Canyon Blvd, between Chatsworth St &, CA-118, Chatsworth, CA 91311
